Joe Biden’s (Not So) Full Lid

At 9:00 a.m. when most working Americans are beginning their day, Joe Biden is ending his.

To call a lid is to send reporters home for the day because the person they are covering is no longer available for media or holding events.

So, with less than 40 days until the election, you would assume reporters are covering the candidates around-the-clock. They are with Donald Trump, but Joe Biden’s handlers send them packing most mornings with zero availability.

Here are a few examples of team Biden calling a lid this month:

• September 22: 9:22 a.m.
• September 24: 9:26 a.m.
• September 26: 9:32 a.m.
• September 28: 9:52 a.m.

What Biden is doing with all of his spare time is unknown. Debate prep? Napping? Sitting in his basement?

Some people he is sending on the campaign trail in his place, however, are his wife and running mate. The two have arguably made more appearances than Biden in recent days.

This weekend, Jill Biden appeared on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ Sunday show. Why doesn’t Joe Biden allow voters to hear from him directly before asking for their vote in 36 days?

Surely CNN is a friendly network to Biden so he should jump at the opportunity to get on television and communicate his message with Americans, but he’s not.

And today, while Biden’s lid has been called before 10:00 a.m., Kamala Harris is traveling to Raleigh, North Carolina to give a speech and attend a campaign event.

Where is Joe? In September, there were 11 days that a lid was called before noon, one called before 5:00 p.m., and another day where there was nothing on his schedule at all.

In fact, Biden has taken off over 40 percent of the days in September.

In contrast to Biden’s light schedule, President Trump is campaigning while running the country and he’s not calling a lid at 9:00 a.m.

It was reported that President Trump, “campaigned, worked, and traveled all but SIX days between August 1, 2016 and November 8, 2016.” During that time, Trump also practiced and held three debates.

Biden’s behavior calls into question what his schedule would look like as president.

Would a President Biden call a lid and have Kamala Harris and other liberals surrounding him take the wheel?

Americans can’t count on Biden to show up. We need a serious leader that will be transparent and dedicated to working for the American people.

It’s clear that Joe Biden isn’t up for the job he’s running for.
