America First Action Unveils $40M Expenditure Announcement

Posted on Sep 29, 2020

Today, America First Action, the largest outside group supporting President Donald J. Trump’s reelection, has committed another $40 million in independent expenditures from now through Election Day, bringing their total spend to $106 million since mid-April.

The $40 million mix of television, digital and direct mail advertisements will be spent in the battleground states of Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Georgia. The ads will focus on Joe Biden’s disastrous economic record, and why Americans can’t afford to give Biden another four years in office.

Notably, America First Action has seen the polls improve in all of the battleground states they have invested in; citing internal polls that show Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are now within striking distance. In Pennsylvania specifically, their anti-fracking ads resulted in a spike on the issue of 10 points among likely voters.

This round of spending will bring a new investment in the Philadelphia market which the group has not previously invested in. Having been in the rest of Pennsylvania since April, and seeing the polling improvement they expected following their advertising, they are ready to secure the whole state.

America First Action is working with other groups like Preserve America, to ensure the swing states critical to the President’s reelection are blanketed. Last month, America First outraised all three Democratic Super PACs combined, and they are on pace to have their best fundraising month on record in September.

Their ad “Day 1” will begin airing in the Philadelphia market tomorrow.
