Sanders to Biden: Get Out and Talk Policy

Sanders wants Biden to tout his socialist agenda

Bernie Sanders has a message for Democratic candidate Joe Biden: Get out of the basement and talk policy.

Much like the Democratic National Convention, Americans are not hearing what Biden’s policy agenda is and learning little to nothing about the platform he is running on. Its intentional: Biden has tried to paint himself as a moderate, but his policy agenda – cowritten by the likes of Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Sen. Bernie Sanders is anything but.

Biden’s lack of transparency is troubling as he rarely emerges from doing pre-recorded interviews in his basement and ignores questions from the media.

Now, socialist Sanders is urging him to talk about economic issues that matter for progressive voters such as raising the minimum wage and free healthcare.

According to a Washington Post article over the weekend:

[Bernie Sanders] has told associates that Biden is at serious risk of coming up short in the November election if he continues his vaguer, more centrist approach.

The senator has identified several specific changes he’d like to see, saying Biden should talk more about health care and about his economic plans, and should campaign more with figures popular among young liberals, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

He then urged Biden to talk more about the economy, specifically highlighting what he will do to raise the minimum wage, create jobs and expand health care and reach out “more aggressively to grass-roots Latino organizations.”

Biden is concealing many of his economic policies because they’re written by Washington’s most extreme Democrats. Biden is simply a puppet of the radical left, taking advice from Sanders and AOC, but he wants to appear moderate in order to win the votes of blue-collar, middle America.

During a Sunday interview on MSNBC, Sanders said, “Joe has some pretty strong positions on the economy, and we need to do a better job of talking about that.”

Yes, voters deserve to know how Biden would govern – and how he plans on reconciling the most radical socialist elements of the Democratic Party with the policies that make sense to middle, moderate America.
