After playing political games in rejecting Republican Senator Tim Scott’s police reform bill, both Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi took the time to deliver self-righteous monologues on the importance of never forgetting George Floyd’s name.
HOWEVER, both Schumer and Pelosi forgot his name at the time.
Watch Nancy Pelosi:
“And I said I’ll recommend that to the Judiciary Committee and to the Congressional Black Caucus, who have shaped the bill, but I only will do that if you tell me that this legislation is worthy of George Kirby’s name.”
Speaker Pelosi says the Democrat-led police reform bill has to be “worthy of George Kirby’s name.”

Watch Chuck Schumer:
“Who do you believe when it comes to civil rights and police accountability: Mitch McConnell, or the lawyer for the families of Floyd Taylor, of George Taylor, George Floyd.”
Can’t make this up. In the middle of his speech to kill the @TimScottSC police reform bill, Chuck Schumer can’t even get George Floyd’s name right.
“Floyd Taylor…George Taylor…”
Democrats are blocking this bill for crass political reasons. Won’t even allow amendments. pic.twitter.com/Z49p6JkzxX
