President Donald. J. Trump is visiting Texas today to tour an oil rig and showcase how the U.S. has achieved energy dominance. Under a Joe Biden administration, everything that has been accomplished under Trump would be ripped away.
Biden has openly admitted he wants to “end fossil fuel” and thereby destroy millions of U.S. energy jobs. While President Trump has helped make America an energy super-power, Biden’s radical energy policies, driven by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist Green New Deal, would kill jobs and leave the U.S. at the mercy of foreign energy producers.
Biden has said he would “love to make sure we can’t use any oil or gas, period” and that he would “make sure” fossil fuels and fracking are “eliminated.” In March, Biden said he would ban any new fracking or future oil and gas development on federal lands.
More than 10.3 million American jobs are supported by the oil and gas industry. Biden’s plan to ban new energy development on federal lands alone would threaten an estimated 268,000 jobs.
Biden has proposed completely eliminating oil, gas, and coal from the U.S. power grid by 2035. Prior estimates show eliminating oil, gas, and coal from the U.S. energy grid would cost anywhere from $4.5 trillion to $5.7 trillion, with an average cost of $35,000 per household.
Under President Trump, the United States is leading the world in oil and natural gas production. American energy exports reached an all-time high last year, marking the first time in 67 years that our annual gross energy exports exceeded imports.
Oil production has soared under President Trump, surpassing records that stood for nearly half a century.
Upon taking office, President Trump ended the war waged on American energy by the Obama-Biden administration. The President has rolled back overregulation and stifling rules that held back our energy producers.
While the previous administration put in place extreme restrictions, President Trump is unleashing our resources – opening up more energy opportunities like in ANWR.
President Trump ended the so-called Clean Power Plan and withdrew from the ineffective and burdensome Paris Climate Accord, saving American jobs. The Trump Administration has approved new pipelines and energy infrastructure to help our energy producers get their products to market.
